12 traffickers who smuggle illegal Bengalis to Malaysia captured in Yangon together with aliens

The State Administration Council released a press statement on December 20 that 12 human traffickers who smuggle illegal undocumented #Bengali aliens from Bangladesh and to assist in their heading to Malaysia.
On December 8, upon the information on finding a group of Bengali aliens near orchid garden located in Shwe Nant Thar village in Yangon’s Htauk Kyant Township, the security forces conducted the investigation and found six male and six female aliens.
According to their statement, altogether 36 Bengalis from Bangladesh Refugee Camp hired a boat and stealthily entered into one of the villages in Rathedaung Township on November 14. They took shelters there for about six days and together with another 36 Bengalis, altogether 72 Bengalis left for Malaysia getting assistance from four human smugglers.
Then, the aliens moved to the mouth of river located within Ayeyarwady Region and changed into another boat. They moved to another village and continued their journey.
On their way, they took another two transits by cars and they stopped at a village located within Yangon Region. While staying in that village, 60 Bengalis out of group were brought by other smugglers and 12 of them left behind.
As per the confession made by those undocumented illegal Bengalis, human trafficking agents: Thant Zin Oo, Myat Soe Oo, Htet Kyaw, Aung Thu, Myint Sein, Zaw Zaw Latt, Kyaw Kyaw and Min Min Hteik were accomplices for this smuggling. Aye Khine, Aung Aung, Zaw Aung and Zaw Win took care of those aliens and they were captured together with the rest of 12 Bengalis and 19 others Bengalis who stayed at Zaw Win’s house on December 9 and December 16 respectively, according to the statement.
Six vehicles Including which were used to smuggle the undocumented Bengalis were also seized together with the oil tanker number YGN 3C -6928.
According to their seized traffickers’ confessions, they received 7 lakhs of kyats per one person and the agent smugglers assisted in their way to Malaysia.
It is reported that these smugglers send and assist the Bengalis without documents from Bangladesh as they get money for those illegal actions. It has been five times that those traffickers smuggling the aliens. There are a total of 255 illegal aliens that they involved in the aliens’ travels.
