New social management digital system projected to install in early 2023

The Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council announced to empower the #social_protection movements in a more effective manner, the Social Management Information System (SMIS) is being developed and the pilot test is expected to be initiated early next year.

He addressed that the social protection movements are instrumental in poverty reduction and the country’s all-around development. It is also a key factor for improvement in human capital.

“For the better and more effective implementation of social protection movements, the Social Management Information System (SMIS) is now being drafted and the pilot project will be initiated in early 2023.” the Vice Chairman of SAC said.

The system may be costly; however, it is something needed to be done since it can effectively reduce the vulnerability of the country’s socioeconomic life.

He continued saying that to be able to implement these movements, education, nutrition, and reduction of the mortality rate of children under five are being prioritized and more coordination is needed to be conducted in these critical sectors.

The Vice-Chairman urged to formulate policies and strategies so as to create more job opportunities and it needs to be coordinated at the national level to be in line with laws and directives.
