SAC signs covenant with three EAOs including UWSP

It is reported that the agreements were made by the State Administration Council (SAC) and three EAOs including the UWSP (United Wa State Party).
The State Peace Talks Team led by Lieutenant General Yar Pyae met with three ethnic armed organizations- UWSP, NDAA and SSPP from January 5 to 7 in Naypyidaw.
Opinions from both sides were exchanged during three days of the #peace_talk; and the final agreements filtered from negotiations were signed.
The vice-chairman of the UWSP Lau Yaku, the vice-chairman of the NDAA San Pae and vice-chairman 2 of the SSPP Sao Khun Seng attended the peace talks.
The UWSP shows its agreement with the SAC’s intention to build a Union based on democratic and federal values; and already pledged there will be no disintegration from the Union.
Currently, ten EAOs join in the peace talks invited by the SAC. On the other hand, fire exchanges are occurring between the Myanmar military and other EAOs.
