SAC Pardons Over 2100 Political Prisoners On Vesak Day

The State Administration Council (SAC) released a total of 2153 inmates of both genders from prisons across the country who were sentenced under Section 505(a) of the Penal Code today on the Full Moon Day of Kason.
The amnesty was made as per Section 401/1 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Today State pardon released only 505(a) prisoners.
The international community frequently demands Myanmar government to free political prisoners.
