Spokesperson Says ‘China Constructively Willing for Myanmar’s Stability and Development’

Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson of the State Administration Council, said that unlike the western bloc, China has a sincere attitude towards Myanmar rule-of-law restoration and development.

Major General highlighted it in the interview with NP News with regard to the working visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang to Myanmar.

The Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang arrived in Myanmar on 2nd May and it is reported that he had met with Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Union Minister of Foreign Affair Than Swe and the retired Senior General Than Shwe.

The spokesperson said that the recent visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister is said to be mentioned successful. Constructive potentialities are expected to attain in Myanmar and China bilateral cooperations in economic, social and political sectors following the visit, he added.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said “There will be more bilateral cooperations in economic sectors, social sectors and political sectors. Unlike the western bloc, China has a constructive and outstanding attitude towards Myanmar’s sovereignty and internal affairs. China is willing for Myanmar’s peace, internal stability and development.”

As per reports, China is actively participating in the implementation of peace building processes in Myanmar.

Before Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang’s working visit to Myanmar, Director-General of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Mr. Peng Xiubin, also paid a visit to former Senior General Than Shwe, former President Thein Sein and the SAC members.

Dr. Aye Maung, the Chairman of the Arakan Front Party, said that the recent constructive visits from China may pave a way for the visit of higher state level government officers from China.

Dr. Aye Maung continued saying that China may support the upcoming general election which is to be conducted by the SAC and there might be more stability at the border area between China and Myanmar. These things may become a welcoming political egress for Myanmar.
