Nearly 90,000 Metric Tons of Rice and Broken Rice Exported in April

According to the statistic from Myanmar Rice Federation, a total of 87,642 metric tons of rice and broken rice were exported in April 2023, involving 47,888 metric tons of rice and 39,769 metric tons of broken rice.
Amongst, 85,360 metric tons were exported by sea route and 2,299 tons were by borderline cargo trade.
As per data, Myanmar exported the rice mostly to Malaysia; followed by 25 other countries including Philippines, Spain, Turkey and Italy.
Similarly, broken rice was exported mostly to Belgium and 11 other countries including China, France, Italy and the Czech Republic, as per information.
Currently, prices are high in the domestic rice market.
