Clashes occur at No. 2 Myawady bridge on Myanmar-Thai border; civilians flee

As per reports, clashes occurred between Tatmadaw and KNLA at No. 2 Myawady bridge on Myanmar-Thai border; civilians are displacing to Thai border side.

The terrorist joint group of KNLA and PDF launched the attacks to the security forces at the bridge with drones in the evening of 19 April, according to the Myawady residents.

The No. 2 bridge where the clashes are occurring is located in No. 5 ward of Myawady Township, and the locals in the fighting area have displaced to the Thai side to avoid the war.

“At the start of clashes, Thai did not accept Myanmar’s refugees. But they opened border gates at 9 am to accept the refugees. Over 200 refugees displaced to Thai,” the resident said.

The KNLA, PDF joint terrorist groups have attacked the Tatmadaw Light Infantry Brigade 275 near Myawady Township since previous week. Therefore, there was an incident that the Tatmadaw had to retreat.

At present, Tatmadaw also conducts air bombardment over terrorists.
