NP News - May 8
One of the NCA signatory groups, the ABSDF, released a statement today (May 8) informing that it won’t attend the peace talk invited by the Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

“This peace offer doesn’t represent a complete situation in which discussion can be made equal with altogether. The ABSDF believes that meaningful political talks are required to be held in which all stakeholders that should be involved are invited and can discuss with equality,” the statement says.

Currently, Kachin Independence Army, Chin National Front, Karenni National Progressive Party, and All Burma Students’ Democratic Front have declared not attending the talk.

Five NCA-signatory groups including Arakan Liberation Party, Democratic Karen Buddhist Army, KNU/KNLA – Peace Council, New Mon State Party, and Pa-O National Liberation Army will be attending the talk.
