DKBA signs agreement with Govt after three-day talk

Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA) and State Administration Council signed on peace agreement on June 21 after a three-day discussion.

The government negotiation team led by the SAC Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the DKBA peace delegation team on June 19.

Democratic Karen Buddhist Army has notified that the group will always cooperate with the Defense Services. The DKBA delegation team led by its chief of staff Saw Satee discussed building the Union System based on democracy and federal values, and issues related to regional development, according to the statement by the SAC.

Transparent negotiations have to be conducted by all stakeholders during the peace talk, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing expressing that the government will consider thoroughly fulfilling the demands claimed by the EAOs and the issues that should be executed for each region and the country.
