Threatening letters, hand-made bombs dropped at schools from Shan, Kayin states

On June 22, a threatening letter was found together with a hand-made bomb that connected with a keypad phone in a room of the post-primary school located in Aungpan of Kalaw Township, Southern Shan State.

Government’s counter-terrorism forces investigated the scene and inactivated the bomb.

Again on June 22, threatening letters on attending schools were received by a lower secondary school from Than Daung Gyi, Kayin State, and by a high school from Kyaukpadaung, Mandalay Region.

Authorities are investigating to take legal action against the terrorists who sent intimidating letters to schools.
