Parol contract made between KNU, DKBA for reunification

Karen National Union (KNU) and Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA) have agreed orally to bring back together, both sides announced after the leaders of the two groups held a talk on August 3.
Lt.Colonel Saw Roger Khin , Padoh Saw Tar Doh Moo, Chief of Staff General Saw Jonny, KNLA Commanding Officer Lt.Colonel Nerdah Htoo from KNU and Chief of Staff General Saw Satee, Colonel Saw San Aung, Security Strategic Commander Brigadier General Shwe Wa from DKBA met and discussed.
The two sides proclaimed that DKBA’s Chief of Staff General Saw Satee and KNU’s Lt.Colonel Nerdah Htoo will be handling the situations related to Kawthoolay Army (KTLA) that was established in the previous month by former KNDO Commander Saw Nerdah Mya.
After the leaders of KNU and DKBA discussed for reunification, a temporary badge will be used to have solidarity among the troop members. Both sides agreed to hold the monthly meeting.
The DKBA’s Chief of Staff General Saw Satee and his delegation team met with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in June for peace.
