Toru Kubota: Proper action might be made only after court decision – Authority

Prosecution is being held against the Japanese national Toru Kubota. Only when the judiciary verdict of the relevant court is made, proper action might be preceded, authority stated with regard to Toru Kubota.
Toru Kubota was detained by the authorities while he was filming the protest that took place in South Dagon Township of Yangon on July 31 together with phones and cameras.
Currently, he is detained and charged for breaching Section 13(1) of the Immigration Law, violating the visa regulations, and under Section 505 (a), authorities told the local media.
Toru Kubota was recently detained by the Myanmar authority on July 30, 2022.
He entered Yangon by tourist visa via the Thai border on July 1, 2022. He made an appointment with the protestors to meet at the protest site and took part in the protest.
