AA shall pay the price for slandering security and peace – Spokesperson

The Spokesperson of the State Administration Council (SAC) Major General Zaw Min Tun told that the military opens peace channels for Arakan Army (AA) and if the AA continues behaving to disturb the security affairs, the group shall pay for the price.

The Arakan Army attacked border guard police outpost BP 40 that is located at milestone 40 away from Myanmar-Bangladesh borderline on August 31, together with Bengali terrorist group ARSA, with massively excessive troop forces.

“With regard with security issues, we are carrying out action plans and immediately we open channel for peace for the AA to come to negotiate for the peace. However, we will have to conduct necessary responses if there is any lost in security affair,” Major General Zaw Min Tun said.

The attacked border guard police outpost was the important troops deployed by agreement of the two countries, he continued. During the attack with excessive troop forces by the AA, at least 19 security members from the border guard police forces were killed.

Fire exchanges in recent days between Tatmadaw and the AA occurred civilian causality in artillery shelling while many civilians had to flee from war.

“We wish to have the long-lasting peace. We want peace in the politics. We have to think the rightful way on the issue that we have been fighting each other for more than 70 years in the civil war. We have to admit that people are the victims in those fights,” Arakan Front Party’s chairman Dr. Aye Maung said.

Hundreds of Rakhine ethnics died and fled in the armed clashes happened in 2017, 2018 and 2019 between Tatmadaw and the Arakan Army.
