Myanmar Army Chief visits Naval School, Fleet HQ, commercial port in Russia

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School in Vladivostok, the Pacific Fleet Headquarters, and the Commercial Port of Vladivostok on September 5.
During his visit to the Pacific Fleet Headquarters, the Army Chief met with officials and observed the maintenance operations of submarines and business conditions at the headquarters.
Then, the Army Chief continued his visit to the Commercial Port of Vladivostok in Russia where he discussed possible opportunities to promote cargo transportation, shipment, and port operations between Russia and Myanmar. The Army Chief also learned about the situation of the flow of freight with the ASEAN countries and Russia, the SAC released a press statement.
At present, Myanmar and Russia have been bolstering their bilateral tie; also promoting bilateral trade.
The two nations have already built a good relationship in military cooperation decades ago.
The Russia-Myanmar relationship has been increasingly developed in many sectors including nuclear energy and cultural exchanges.
