Terrorists abduct a presiding Buddhist monk in Salin, Magwe

A presiding Buddhist monk from Salin township, Magwe Region was abducted by a group of terrorists, according to Myanmar Police Force.
The incident happened on September 30 at an estimated 1:30 pm in Tanyungtint village that exists in Salin.
According to the Myanmar Police Force, the presiding monk Venerable Ashin Thondara (60 yrs.) with 25 years of monkhood was arrested by a group of terrorists of 15 members when Sayadaw and his two lay followers were at the monastery.
The two lay followers were released then.
On September 23, two Buddhist monks from Kanbalu and Wetlet townships of Sagaing Region were arrested by terrorists alleging ‘informers’.
A total of 56 Buddhist monks and one nun were killed by terrorists for no reason. Most incidents happened in Sagaing.
Counter-terrorism forces are investigating to rescue and save the abducted monk, Myanmar Police Force stated.
