Myanmar plans to install overnight guest registration system for foreign visitors

The Republic of the Union of #Myanmar is planning to exercise the overnight guest registration system which foreign visitors have to apply for while visiting Myanmar, according to the Union Minister for Hotel and #Tourism Htay Aung.
He addressed it during the Knowledge Dissemination workshop on Anti-Human Trafficking in Tourism Industry held in Naypyidaw on 24 November.
The Union Minister said that the visitors are incoming into the country with different intentions and therefore, human trafficking, modern slavery, and other criminal cases are violated and committed by exploiting these conditions around the world.
The overnight guest registration known as ‘Guest List Management’ will be initiated across the country by the ministry, especially for foreign visitors.
For the Ministry, to prevent these unwilling consequences of tourism-related crimes, the Guest List Management system will be initiated throughout the country and plans are ongoing to take measures on the emergence of the system in the country, the ministry said.
The Union Minister also said that they have been distributing the "Do No Harm Guideline" in different languages to foreign visitors.
