Myanmar eyes neighboring countries as primary market for tourism

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council, Vice-Senior General Soe Win said that the neighboring countries and the countries with friendly relationship with #Myanmar should be targeted and prioritized for the development of the country’s #tourism industry in the initial stage.

He addressed it during the National Tourism Development Central Committee Meeting that was held in Naypyidaw on December 6.

The Vice-Senior General also underlined that entrepreneurship and production of tourism-related goods and market have to be encouraged to re-boost the industry.

“Smoot and secure travelling is vitally needed for both domestic and foreign travelers,” he said.

For the time being, Myanmar’s tourism industry has been reopened and tourists from more than 100 countries paid a visit; mostly from China.
