Door-to-door ground population inspection commenced for voter list accuracy

On-ground data collection for the population statistics with the purpose to attain an accurate #voter_list in the upcoming #election has been started on January 9 across the country.
The process will be ended, as per the announcement of the authorities, on January 31, 2023.
The project is conducted by the responsible personnel from the Ministry of Immigration and Manpower and other related departments.
One of the responsible personnel from the Ministry of Immigration and Manpower told the NP News that “We are collecting the door-to-door data survey in order to validate and scrutinize the voter lists for the upcoming General Election. The General Election is one of the implementation steps in the Five-Point Road Map of the State Administration Council.”
The Chairman of the SAC Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pledged to convene a fresh election throughout the country.
The Union Election Commission announced to hold the next election under the Proportional Representation System (PR). Currently, electoral equipment and supplies have been prepared.
