SAC Chairman said ‘Terror acts and armed conflicts should be stopped’

The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Senior General #Min_Aung_Hlaing asserted that it is important to reduce armed conflicts and terrorist acts at the time being.

He included the above-mentioned point in his message sent to mark the Diamond Jubilee of #Kachin_State_Day which falls on January 10.

Although Kachin State possesses rich of natural resources and beauties, the indigenous people cannot enjoy benefits of those prosperities; and therefore, development projects cannot be implemented effectively.

With regard to this, the SAC Chairman said “Regional development projects can be established only when the territory is peace with the prevalence of laws and orders”

He also remarks that stakeholders from all spectrums and the organizations should bear such rational and constructive attitudes as for building the peace. Without peace, it will be hard to build the Union based on democratic and federal values. Therefore, he continued, “intensity of current terrorist acts and armed conflicts have to be stopped.”

Fights were occurred between the Myanmar Military and the joint forces of #KIA and #PDF in Sagaing Region which territorially connected with Kachin State. Casualties were high in both sides though official figures weren’t announced.
