The Union Election Commission explained about the central-level and township-level voter list management system.

The #UEC started the project of scrutinizing lists of Household Registration Form-66/6 nationwide to be compatible with the population lists from the General Administrative Department in each township, village, ward and region as a pilot project started in February 2022.

The #population lists from that pilot project are being scrutinized with (IVLS) software. The repetitive data are checked by the Department of Immigration and Population and the General Administrative Department to get the validated voter lists; which will be entered into ADMIN and DEO Software.

In the ADMIN software, the township-level Sub election commissions can access data from the central-level voter’s list and they have to enter data into it.

The related files for the respective constituency and polling stations information can be accessed in the ADMIN software, and the data can be entered into Central-level and DEO software. The data files from wards and village tracts according to polling stations can be compiled, scrutinized and accessed from ADMIN Software and from ADMIN software, the voter lists can be accessed and downloaded and the lists can be uploaded to Central Level Voter List.

Therefore, the Township Level Voter List system is programmed to conduct step by step for voter list compilation in a computerized method. The ADMIN and DEO software are compatible to each other and also interconnected.

The UEC Chairman, Thein Soe, said that the Election Commission members from Townships, Districts, Regions and States will use the Central Level System.

He continued that the users have to access the UEC’s separate network in order to use the software; and the users are restricted according to their permissions. Therefore, cyber security is also considered in priority.

For the time being, the software orientation courses are being conducted for responsible personnel from the respective Election Commission.
