The US chessman Indonesia, the recently rotated Chair of the #ASEAN told on Wednesday that #Myanmar will be invited a ‘non-political’ representative to the upcoming ASEAN meetings, according to the Indonesian news agency.
What is more, Indonesia reportedly plans to send a top general to Myanmar, according to Reuters, to narrate the scenario of Indonesia’s democratic journey.
The new ASEAN Chair seems dialing the wrong number again on the Myanmar issue.
Myanmar, located in Southeast Asia, territorially connects with Thailand and Laos in the east, China in the north, and India and Bangladesh in the west. No external advice or direct involvement would resolve Myanmar politics. The country’s political situation is unique with its own model.
Gained her independence in 1948, and the civil war has been born since before the independence with manipulations of the British rulers. As a matter of fact, there have been many alien interventions and undercovers, especially the West bloc. It had lasted for many decades and many networks such as in the 1988 uprising, 1996 student movements, 2015 General Election, and lately, in 2016-20 administration.
Therefore, Indonesia or ASEAN or whatsoever needs to consider the hidden agendas of the West in the Myanmar issue though Indonesia itself is the chess piece of the US.
