Charging stations for EV to be constructed at Thabyaygon Market in Naypyidaw

The State Administration Council’s information team released the news that preparations are being conducted to establish the 60 KW charging stations for the #electric_vehicles at the Thabyaygon Market in Naypyidaw.

Five sets of EV chargers, the 60 KW charging stations from China were imported from N.P.K Motors Company and arrived at Yangon International Airport on 11th February.

“These five sets of 60 KW EV chargers were imported with the approval of the National Electric Vehicle and Related Industries Development Steering Committee led by General Mya Tun Oo”, the SAC said.

These EV chargers are going to be installed for the emergence of 60 KW charging station at the Thabyaygon Market in Zabu Thiri Township, Naypyidaw.

Similarly, five set of 60KW EV Chargers and two set of 200 KW were imported from Earth Renewable Energy Company from China and necessary preparations are conducted for the construction of the charging station.

The SAC is prioritizing for the development of electric vehicles and their related industries in Myanmar. Therefore, the import taxes relating to electric vehicles are being reduced.

The charging stations for electric vehicles are going to be constructed along Yangon-Mandalay Expressway and the gas stations in Naypyidaw and Mandalay and so the necessary preparations are ongoing.
