Yangon to hold Thidingyut Festival at People’s Square

According to the Yangon City Development Committee, the Yangon Region Government will be convening the Thidingyut Lighting Festival at the People’s Square Park located on Pyay Road, Yangon Region.
Authorities are carrying out the construction works for chandeliers, entertainment pavilions, booths, restaurants, and shop stalls within the park.
There will be entertainment programs on 28, 29 and 30 October. The event will be reportedly started on October 27.
Commencing from last year's Thidingyut Festival, traditional festivals such as Thidingyut, Tazaungtaing, and Thingyan were convened at the People’s Square Park.
