7 prisoners from Kinthar 2 Production Camp in Naypyidaw

It is reported that seven prisoners have escaped from Kinthar 2 Production Camp located in Naypyidaw Council Territory, according to information from the residents.

The incident reportedly took place on 17th October evening.

A reliable source who is close to the security forces told NP News, “Yes, it’s true. The prisoners escaped yesterday evening. They haven’t been caught yet.”

The escapers are those with sentences for murder, rape and drug cases charged by courts in Naypyidaw, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District Court and Yamathin Township Court.

At present, police and officers from Prison Department have been carrying out to arrest those seven escapers.

On 30th September, five prisoners escaped after they shot and killed two prison staff with hands tied in their back in Dawei Township.
