Mongla armed force affirms no acceptance of any armed or political group

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a peace delegation from the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA – Mongla) on May 25, according to an SAC press release.
The meeting took place at the Golden Triangle Avenue of the Triangle Region Command Headquarters. Attending the meeting alongside the SAC Chairman and Prime Minister were Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin, and senior military officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. The NDAA delegation was led by Vice-Chairman of the Peace and Unity Committee of National Democratic Alliance Army-NDAA (Mongla) U San Pae, and included Vice-Chairman U Hsang Lu, U Kyi Myint and officials.
The SAC Chairman affirmed that Myanmar, as a Union nation, is transitioning toward a genuine, disciplined multi-party democratic federal system. He emphasized the need for unity among all ethnic groups to work together for the national interest, ensuring efforts benefit the country and its people. Prioritizing sectors like education and healthcare in alignment with national policies, he underscored the importance of sustained development and stability. He highlighted that skilled, educated human resources are vital for national progress, stressing the necessity of opening basic education schools so all school-aged children can access education.
The SAC Chairman stated that as Myanmar is a Union, proficiency in the official language and literature—as mandated by the state—is essential nationwide. Accordingly, a standardized Union-wide education curriculum should be implemented, with pathways for students to pursue higher education in domestic universities after completing basic education.
He also highlighted the need to develop rubber-based industries to boost the local economy and produce value-added goods. Similarly, the livestock and fishery sectors should be expanded to meet domestic demand, with state support. Additionally, the government will improve transportation infrastructure, implement local development projects, and extend healthcare services to rural areas.
Chairman of the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA – Mongla), expressed his condolences on behalf of the NDAA for the losses and damages suffered by the state and its people during the recent major earthquake in Mandalay. He stated that they h ad cooperated with local businesspeople and residents in Special Region (4) to provide assistance to those affected by the earthquake.
He emphasized that as for the principles and stance, the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA-Mongla) continues to uphold Our Three Main National Causes they have followed for over 30 years: Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national solidarity and Perpetuation of sovereignty adopted by the State. He also expressed a desire to cooperate in improving transportation infrastructure within the region for better connectivity and smoother logistics. U San Pe further stated that they wish for continued support from the state in the education and healthcare sectors in their region. He reiterated that the NDAA (Mongla) has not accepted or aligned with any armed group or political organization. Instead, they are committed to cooperating on matters related to regional and national peace and stability.
Afterward, U San Pe, the Vice Additionally, he requested guidance and support from the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister for the development needs of their region. Following that, both sides engaged in open and sincere discussions on peace matters, education, healthcare, and regional development issues.
