Education ministry reorganizes its structure

The Ministry of Education has reorganized the structure of departments and sections, according to the data released by the State Administration Council.
The two departments have been merged in the reorganization of the ministry on March 31.
Department of Monitoring and Evaluation (Education) and Department of Monitoring and Evaluation (Research) are merged into the Department of Monitoring and Evaluation with a total of 60 officer positions and 85 staff positions.
Currently, the ministry has eight departments, and the Minister’s Office with a total of 855,570 job titles and job positions including 61,635 officer ranks and 793,935 staff positions.
The ministry is composed of:
1. The Minister’s Office,
2. Department of Higher Education,
3. Department of Educational Research, Planning and Training,
4. Department of Basic Education,
5. Department of Myanmar Examinations,
6. Department of Myanmar Nationalities' Languages,
7. Department of Alternative Education and Life-Long Learning, and
8. Monitoring and Evaluation Team.
