Khit/Myo (NP News) - May 19
Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) will set a date for a peace meeting with State Administration Council (SAC) Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing after the Peace Process Steering Team (PPST) meeting is held.

The PPST meeting of the NCA-signatory groups will be held on May 20.

"The PPST meeting will be hrld on May 20. We can say the date to meet with the Chief Commander after the PPST meeting is held,” said the vice-chair of the ALP Saw Mya Yarzar Linn.

She will propose to have an all-inclusive political dialogue when meeting with the SAC chairman.

"I think we can get out of this situation if we try because top decision-makers are invited. Unfortunately, we heard that top leaders from some organizations are not sure to come. So, I think we won't have a final solution at this time. This time meeting is very different from previous ones,” she added.

At present, some groups critize against the ALP's acceptance of peace talks with the SAC chairman.

The ALP's vice-chair Saw Mya Yarzar Linn said, “We recognize that some says against with us. But we convice and believe in our actions. We do not betray our country. We do not take any position or rank or allowance.”

Saw Mya Yarzar Linn suggested that it was important to find a way out of the current political crisis in Myanmar and those who will be attending the talks should compromise for the benefit of the whole country.

SAC Chairman invited all EAO's leaders for the peace talks and KNU / KNLA PC; PNLO; NMSP; ALP, RCSS / SSA; UWSA NDAA and SSPP / SSA will be attendinh.
