SAC, NDAA (Mongla) covenant after three-day peace talk

State Administration Council (SAC) and National Democratic Alliance Army – NDAA (Mongla group) have signed the bindings agreed within the three-day peace discussion on the third day of the meeting conducted on June 6 in Naypyidaw, according to the statement released by the SAC.

During the talk, peace and development issues were discussed. The SAC representatives explained and clarified about the points that were agreed in the Parts I, II, III of the Union Accord and the points involved in Schedule 2 from the Part III of the Union Accord which still remain to be discussed.

The Mongla delegation team arrived in Naypyidaw on June 3 and met with the SAC Chair on June 4.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed on the processes to restore perpetual peace by handing over peaceful, modern and developed Union to new generations, and building the union system based on democracy and federalism.

The NDAA added that it won’t secede from the union and explained its stances on non-disintegration, national solidarity, and perpetuation of the national sovereignty.

Vice-chairman San Pae, accompanied by General Secretary of the Peace and Solidarity Committee Kyi Myint, Secretary-2 Ah Lu, attended the peace talk.

Ten EAOs registered to attend the peace talk invited by the SAC Chair. Currently, RCSS/SSA၊ NMSP၊ KNU/KNLA-PC၊ UWSP and NDAA have met.
