46.88 percent pass nationwide in 2022 matriculation exam

Department of Myanmar Examinations announced the nationwide-result of the university entrance exam for 2021-2022 Academic Year today (June 17).

Over 280,000 students took the university entrance exam, of which more than 130,000 pass. Pass percent counts 46.88% nationwide, according to the Department of Myanmar Examinations.

“We started posting the result sheets on board at 6 am today. It can also be viewed online. Therefore, few people came to check it in person,” a teacher of a high school from Insein Township told the NP News.

Ayeyarwady Region with 52.16 percent of the pass rate in the relevant region sits the second top students number taking the exam (37,237 students) followed by Rakhine State with 41,755 students of which the pass percent counts 47.25.

A total of 33,548 and 33,447 students took respectively in Mandalay and Yangon regions having the pass rates 49.92 percent and 46.07 percent accordingly.

The Whole Burma First (title for the first place student of the whole country) for ‘All science subjects’ winner is a female student named Eaint Hmue Khin from No. 16, Basic Education High School Chanayetharzan, Mandalay who got six distinctions (All D) with total scores of 558.

The Whole Burma First for ‘Science-Economy’ winner is a male student named San Win Maung from High School Taungsun (Bilin), Mon State who got five distinctions with total scores of 522.

The Whole Burma First for ‘All Art subjects’ winner is a female student named Nyein Mo Mo Tun from Thityarmyaing (Kyunhla), Sagaing Region who got six distinctions (All D) with total scores of 534.

The Department of Myanmar Examinations website www.myanmarexam.org posts the exam results for the whole country since 4 am today.

For the faraway regions with less opportunity to access the internet, authorities announce the results through ‘Myanmar Radio FM’.
