7 traffickers sentenced to 10 years imprisonment each for selling two women to China

The human traffickers who forced two ladies through smuggling and forced surrogate pregnancy

The Division of the Anti-trafficking in persons of the Myanmar Police Forces charged seven human traffickers who forced two ladies smuggling to China with ten years imprisonment each.

Victims are from Yangon Region and Shan State, according to the police forces.

One of the ladies was 29 years old and deceived by her lover that she will be married in Mandalay. The trafficker lover brought the 29 years old victim to Muse. The trafficker lover and his pal sold the victim to a Chinese man in Shweli of China for 30000 Yuan. On July 22, the Northern District Court of Yangon charged the two traffickers with ten years imprisonment with work each.

The second lady was 18 years old from Thibaw, Shan State. She was sold and forced to be a surrogate pregnant by a group of five human traffickers from the same town. The victim was deceived and sold to a Chinese man in Kunlun, China for 150,000 Yuan.

Therefore, the Kyaukme District Court of Shan State charged three of five human traffickers with ten years imprisonment with work each.

Authorities investigate to seize two escaping traffickers to take legal action.
