Six died in a car shooting on outskirt of Yangon

The car which carried residential administrators was shot by a group of terrorists in outskirt Yangon City on August 22 in which six unarmed men were killed.

The terror incident took place at an estimated 5 pm yesterday at the junction near Zeephyugon Village located in Twantay Township, according to a source who was at the scene.

Twantay is located west across the Hlaing River from the city of Yangon.

A meeting between administrators and civilian construction companies on development projects that will be constructed in Twantay was held at the office of the General Administration Office of Twantay Township yesterday.

The administrator of Zeephyugon Village and 100-households administrators attended the meeting. After the meeting, the administrators were coming back to Zeephyugon Village by taxi.

The taxi was shot by a group of at least five terrorists on the way back to the village. Four administrators, a taxi driver, and a man who was near the scene have died in the terror incident.

One of the victims got a gunshot injury a life-threatening condition.
