“Everything will be fine if the petrol price is decreased. Only then, will the commodity prices be decreased. Although the fuel price is soaring, our income doesn’t increase. The money we have earned goes for the fuel price and transportation. It’s really hard for us. Of course, we’re aware of global high prices. But we are wondering if the government makes any plan to convenient for the people with regard to the fuel price. We wish to get Russian oil very sooner,” a person who is doing transportation business said.

Currently, Myanmar imports fuel from Singapore at high prices. Authorities admitted they cannot control the petrol price yet. The country purchases fuel from Singapore for 2 dollars for a litre at present.
