Yangon Water Bus to resume on its 5th anniversary

The Yangon Water Bus system will be resumed its operations on October 6 the celebration day for the 5th Anniversary of the YWB, according to the announcement made by the YWB on its page yesterday (September 27).

The YWB was established on October 6, 2017.

The operation was formerly designated to resume its service on 1st October. However, the plan was changed and it appeared to re-start on the 5th anniversary day.

The YWB has suspended its operations for more than two years. The transport route will be running Botahtaung, Pansodan, Lanthit, Sar Par Chaung, and Arnt Gyi jetties with two water buses.

The payment system will reportedly be cashless via K pay, CB pay, AYA pay, A pay, and Wave Pay.

The opening ceremony of the Yangon Water Bus will be held at Lanthit Jetty at 7 am on October 6. Bus fare will be free of charge on the celebrating day.
