State lost 4,000m kyats in terror sabotage against power grids and transmission towers

The State Administration Council released a press statement that the State lost at least 4,000 million kyats in the terror plots of deliberately destroying 15 power grids and 64 transmission towers across the country by the terrorists.

The CRPH and NUG affiliated groups committed terror attacks in versatile approaches in different sectors intended to destroy the government's administrative mechanism and regional development.

“The PDF groups committed sabotages, incineration and other terror acts against the power grids and transmission towers by different approaches in order to disturb the electricity sector that lays a key in all development of the public,” the statement said.

A total of 64 towers from 15 power grids, to be more precise, 19 towers from a total of nine power grids of 66 KV lines and 45 towers from a total of six power grids of 230 KV and 132 KV lines, the statement said.

Therefore, a total of 4060.614 million kyats were lost so far in the attack against the towers and national grids.

Relevant authorities conducted repairing projects of the power grids and towers that were destroyed by the terrorists across the country; however, towers of 66 KV lines from Loikaw-Bawlakhe-Shardaw still remain to be repaired, the SAC statement said.
