Defense Services cleared landmines in Pharpun, Kayin

Tatmadaw’s counter-terrorism forces cleared handmade bombs and landmines that were planted by the terrorists along the highway of Pharpun-Kamamaung townships, according to the press statement released by the State Administration Council (SAC) on 16th October.
The counter-terrorism forces conducted the mine-clearing process on 30th September from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, the SAC said.
A total of 23 landmines, two handmade mines, 17 detonators, and related materials were found and deactivated by the counter-terrorism forces.
The Tatmadaw counter-terrorism troops conducted clearing mines also in September in which a total of 112 handmade mines, three handmade guns, four grenades, and related equipment and materials were seized and deactivated, the SAC released a statement.
