Army officer and wife shot dead in Yangon’s Hlaing: Media reports

An army officer at his Captain rank, his wife and a soldier were shot to death in Hlaing township, Yangon Region this morning (20th October) at an estimated 10 am, reports say.
Three PDFs were waiting for the victims coming from a car that was parked near the bus stop. The gunmen killed the victims reportedly with eleven gunshots at the heads.
“The incident actually happened this morning. All three victims died on the spot,” a source from Hlaing township confirmed NP News.
Three victims are reportedly known as Captain Myint Swe, his wife Yadanar Oo, and the rifleman Aung Ko Min.
Terror assassinations against military servicemen and their family members frequently happened in Yangon’s Hlaing township.
Concerns and critics are arising that the authority should carry out thorough inspections in the residential wards located in Hlaing township in order to pause terror plots in Hlaing township.
