42 houses damaged in Chanmyatharzi fire outbreak

Two elders were wounded and a total of 42 residential houses were razed in the fire outbreak that happened in Chanmyatharzi township of Mandalay on 3rd November at an estimated 5 pm to 6 pm, according to the Mandalay Fire Services Department.
The fire broke out in Gan village located in the South Chanmyatharzi ward, between Tharaphi and Ninsi streets.
“It lasted only an hour. However, 42 houses in total were razed,” an officer from Mandalay Region Fire Services Department told NP News.
Two elders namely Aung Than, 75/male, and Khin Mary, 63/female were wounded in the fire.
Currently, a relief camp has opened at the Islamic temple for the fire victims from 42 houses.
Authorities are investigating the fire outbreak to find out the source of the fire.
