Personnel of Rakhine party abducted by non-State armed forces

The vice-chairman of the #Arakan_Front_Party (AFP) that is led by a Rakhine prominent political figure #Dr_Aye_Maung was abducted in recent days. In fact, the party advisor Kyaw Linn was also abducted earlier and has not yet been released.

The vice-chairman Kyaw Saw Oo was arrested by an unidentified non-State armed force on 2nd November in Sittwe, Rakhine State, Dr. Aye Maung told NP News.

“Last month U Kyaw Lwin was abducted. He is a member of the party advisory committee. He is still in detention. We don’t know which organization has detained him. Again, the current Vice Chairman, Kyaw Saw Oo was abducted by an anonymous organization on 2nd November.” Dr. Aye Maung said.

He confirmed that the organization that seized his partisans isn’t the State Administration Council.

Last October 4, the party advisor Kyaw Lwin and the member of the Central Committee of the party Maung Kaung were abducted by the anonymous group. Later then, the central committee member Maung Kaung was released alone.

The Arakan Front Party demands the release of its partisan members.
