The State Administration Council (SAC) has organized a steering committee to establish the #National_Single_Window_System (NSWS) in accordance with the agreement of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The committee will be chaired by the Union Minister of the #Ministry_of_Planning_and_Finance Win Shein, according to the information released by the SAC.

Myanmar has to implement the NSWS without fail to formulate a better communication platform as the economy has been increasingly expanded with international trade routes in many sectors in line with the terms and provisions legislated by the World Customs Organization, agreements made by the WTO and regional trade agreements of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

By installing the NSWS in the interdepartmental functions, time and cost can be reduced in the customs clearance procedures for the investors, exporters and importers; and transit requirements for the transport process, the SAC stated.

The NSWS is a kind of digital platform that enables #trade_and_transport stakeholders to submit the required information to the respective government agency to perform trade and transport circulation more effectively and efficiently as per the necessary legal requirements.

The steering committee will develop a road map for the establishment of the NSWS and will also lay down a technical model and business plans.
