The #Myanmar_military and the #Arakan_Army have ceased firing in #Rakhine State after four months of resuming fire exchanging.
Both parties resumed firing in August 2022.
A source from the military ground from Myanmar Armed Forces confirmed NP News on 26 November that crossfire has ceased between the two sides three days ago and negotiations have been conducted.
The return of the cross-firing between the Tatmadaw and AA, which lasted four months, claimed collateral damages and pushed hundreds of civilians to flee.
The Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General #Min_Aung_Hlaing invited the ethnic armed forces, including the AA, in April 2022 for peace.
Tatmadaw and the AA launched tension clashes in 2018 in Rakhine State. The armed conflicts ceased in 2020 with the mediation by Japan’s Nippon Foundation chairman Sasakawa.
