State troops conquer territories in Kayin from threat of terrorist groups

The State Administration Council proclaimed that the #Tatmadaw troops and brigades have vanquished the terrorists of the allied forces of the #KNU_KNLA and the #PDFs that were moving and committing terror plots along #Myawaddy-Waw Lay and the surrounding areas of Pha Luu, Kyauk Khat, Thay Baw Boe and Waw Lay.
The joint forces of Karen National Union/ Karen National Liberation Army and terrorist PDFs tried to control the abovementioned areas started in May 2022, especially taking the schools, civilian houses and religious buildings as shields; which forced residents to flee.
At present, Tatmadaw’s military columns have returned subduing completely the areas. Regional stability has been restored; and therefore, the displaced people are informed by the authorities to come back to their land. The authorities use loud speakers in the nearest and surrounding forests in both Karen language and Myanmar language calling back the residents, according to the statement.
Necessary rescue programs are being conducted for those who come back.
The State armed forces (Tatmadaw) had currently achieved informal ceasefire agreement with the Arakan Army in the Rakhine State.
