Myanmar highlights effective execution of international conventions at global public security cooperation forum

#Myanmar delegation discussed effective formulations of international conventions and provisions in combating against the #transnational_organized_crimes at the 1st conference of Worldwide Public Security Cooperation Forum.

The forum was convened on November 29-30 via video conferencing and hosted by #China. Approximately 400 representatives from 38 countries attended the forum, according to the statement released by the State Administration Council.

Myanmar Delegation led by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as the Chief of the Myanmar Police Force Major General Zin Min Htet attended the forum.

Myanmar underlined to perform the effective formulations of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and it’s related treaties, international conventions, contracts and agreements were discussed.

Representatives from 38 countries including China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Viet Nam, Russia, Belarus, Hungary, Spain, Egypt, Brazil, Argentina, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, New Zealand, Solomon, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Israel, and the President and the Vice-President of the Interpol attended it.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief Vice-Senior General Soe Win addressed to strengthen and upgrade Myanmar’s police forces during the event of commemoration of the 58th Myanmar Police Day held in October.
