#Russia will continue to help and cooperate with #Myanmar in the development of the country’s many sectors.
The Officials of Russia’s #ROSATOM (#РОСАТОМ) proclaimed to provide continuous cooperation with Myanmar for the country’s energy and electricity sector development.
They reportedly underlined it during the gala dinner held in Naypyidaw on December 11 evening to mark the meeting of the Ministry of Electric Power (MOEP), Ministry of Science and Technology and Rosatom and discussion of the project.
The Deputy Director of the Rosatom Palamarchuk Igor said, “…. There is a lot to cooperate in the energy sector as well as other economic sectors. Russia will continue to help Myanmar develop its energy sector. In the future, we are going to help step by step.”
Key Account Director Zhukova Ekaterina also said, “Electricity sector contributes a lot to the development of a country. Russia is going to provide a lot of good support for Myanmar in the hydropower sector as well.”
Russian delegations from Rosatom arrived in Myanmar in early December to conduct the pragmatic steps of bilateral cooperation in the projects in Myanmar.
For the time being, the Russian ROSATOM Company has already conducted a feasibility study for earthquakes, faults, and other geographical conditions for developing a thermal power project in Naypyidaw near Paung Laung Reservoir located in Zeyar Thiri Township.
“Road Map on Cooperation in the field of the use of Nuclear Energy for Peaceful Purposes for 2022-2023” has already been signed between the MOEP and ROSATOM.
