The proposal to hold the informal #peace meeting proposed by the seven ethnic armed forces was just postponed as the National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee (#NSPNC) replied unready to conduct it, Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt to NP News.
Seven #NCA signatory EAOs: RCSS, PNLO, ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA PC, LDU and NMSP proposed the NSPNC on December 7 to conduct an informal meeting for peace.
“The NSPNC replied that they are willing to accept to hold the informal peace talks. However, it isn’t ready to conduct the informal talk that we have proposed for the time being.” Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt, the spokesperson of the NCA Signatories Group, recounted to NP News.
Seven EAOs proposed to hold the informal meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand on December 12.
“The NSPNC replied to us saying that for the time being, they are not ready to convene the talk on the date that we proposed. We can understand it because there are many challenges in the current political landscape of the nation.” Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt said.
All of these seven EAOs attended the peace talks held in 2022 invited by the Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
