Six potential wind power projects turned up by Rosatom in Myanmar

The Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ‘#Rosatom’ (#Росатом) discovered six potential sources of wind power from which approximately 8100 megawatt of #electricity is expected to be generated in #Myanmar, Rosatom anticipates.
The coordination meeting between the relevant Union Ministries and officials from Rosatom Company was held at Naypyidaw on December 13 discussing on coordination for the projects.
Delegation of the Rosatom Company from Russia has arrived at Myanmar in early December to conduct field survey and feasibility studies for the generation of electricity, especially through wind power and hydropower.
Since Rosatom has discovered six potential wind power projects which is projected to generate more than 8100 megawatts of electricity, the SAC shows its eagerness to develop the possible projects of electricity from wind or hydropower so urged Rosatom for the speedy emergence of the project implementations in Myanmar ASAP.
Although there were electricity projects expecting to produce 40,000 megawatts across the country, the projects were suspended for various causes, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing recently told.
For the time being, the electricity is being distributed in turns by schedules in Myanmar amid of insufficient electricity distribution. Power towers were blown up and destroyed by #PDF #terrorists in many areas of the country. Some National Grids and Regional Grid were sabotaged by the PDF terrorists.
