Departmental vehicle attacked by terrorists in Mandalay killing one

A motor vehicle that carries departmental staff from Forestry Ministry was shot by #terrorists in Natogyi Township, Mandalay on December 17 at an estimated 5 pm, according to Myanmar Police Force.

Four staffs from the Forestry Department, chief office Myat Toe Aung (57), and other forest supervisors Myint U (55), Tin Htun (49), Par Gyi (45) and Thiha Zaw (41) were in the car and heading to Township Forestry Administrative Department. The vehicle was shot by approximately ten terrorists near Nyaung Chay Paw Village on the way to the department, according to the police.

A forest supervisor Myint U was hit a gunshot in the head and died on the spot.

42 shells of M-22 were seized at the scene by the security forces, the Myanmar Police Force reported.
