Nine identical drone bombs seized in Yangon in one day

A total of nine hand-made #drone_bombs that are almost identical to each other were captured in Yangon today (January 16). One of them exploded in Hmawbi Township, Yangon at an estimated 11 am but no casualty occurred, according to the source close to security forces.
When the security forces clear the scene, another bomb was found in the surrounding. Again, five others drone bombs were also seized, within one mile surrounding of the scene, near Gyo Phyu water supply pipeline in Hmawbi.
Therefore, a total of seven drone bombs were seized only in Hmawbi township in Yangon only in one day.
“The counter-terrorism forces shot down the drone bombs that were flying near the residential areas. The drone bombs that were seized today seem the tested ones. I think there might be more coming. Authorities should conduct close monitoring to prevent next incidents in Yangon,” the source continued.
Similarly, another drone bomb was found near the fence of Yeku Broadcasting Station located in North Okkalapa township, Yangon, according to the source.
Again, another one was seized near Inya Lake located in Kamayut township, Yangon Region.
At present, the opposition terrorists are conducting a drone bomb fund-raising campaign namely ‘Falcon Wings’ which asks donation at the minimum of 10,000 ks. The campaign has been started on 14 January to 24 January.
The drone bombs that were captured today in Yangon appear to be part of the campaign.
