Ngapali beach housing project to be developed by Myanmar, Russia

Russian business delegation and Myanmar businessmen signed Memorandum of Understanding on developing the #Ngapali_Beach_Housing_Project in recent days in Pan Pacific Hotel, Yangon.
Vice-President Mr Anatoly Bulochnikov of the Russia-Myanmar Association for Friendship and Cooperation-RMAFC and the delegation including Russian economists, the CEO and board of directors of Treasure of Ngapali Development Co Ltd and the Shwin Pyaw Pyaw Trading Co Ltd managing director and officials attended the ceremony.
The two delegations highlighted on promoting Myanmar’s tourism.
During the meeting, both parties also discussed and signed on cooperation in coffee plantation, production and export developments.
According to the statement released by the State Administration Council, the Russian business delegation led by the RMAFC has visited and surveyed the Ngapali Beach in Thandwe for the housing project in their visit this time.
Having a coastline of total length 1,384 mi (2,227 km) in three parts: the Western Rakhine coast, the Southern Ayeyarwady delta coast and the Southern Tanintharyi Region.
Renowned beaches in the country include Ngapali in Rakhine, Ngwe Saung and Chaung Tha in Ayeyarwady and Maungmagan Dawei. Lately famous beaches include Kanthaya in Ayeyarwady, Nabule, Pa Nyit, Po Po Kyauk and Teyzit in Dawei, and Kabyar Wa in Mon State. Last but not least, Myeik or Mergui Archipelago, with its more than 800 remote islands in varying sizes, becomes the latest and best tour destination in Myanmar to catch the most pristine nature.
On the other hand, the Russian delegation to ASEAN mission headed by Deputy Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Econonic Development of the Russian Federation, Nikita Kondratev, took part in the 13th ASEAN-Russia Tourism Consultation Meeting in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in recent days, according to the statement announced by the Russian Embassy in Myanmar.
The delegation to ASEAN mission outlined the development of ASEAN-Russia tourism cooperation.
Russian side presented new stage of the project "Russian Language Course for ASEAN Tour Operators” aimed at expanding business contacts between Russia and ASEAN tourism enterprises through Russian language training and experience exchange.
