KIA/PDF use schools, religious buildings as shields in battlegrounds; Military conducts operations

According to the statement released by the State Administration Council on February 7, Myanmar Military and joint forces of KIA/PDF exchanged fire at least seven times in Sagaing Region within five days, in which the #terrorists #KIA/ #PDF forces launched firing taking schools, monasteries and pagoda as the hide-out bases.
At least seven times of intensed crossfire occurred from January 18 to 22 between Tatmadaw and the KIA/PDF joint forces in Moetarrlay Village located in Sagaing Region.
The terrorists KIA/PDF built sandbag bunkers and underground bunkers in the compounds of schools, monasteries and pagodas, as per the information involved in the statement.
The terrorists PDFs reinforced their manpower and used villagers as human shields. They set fire to the residential houses in Moetarrlay Village and therefore, and the security forces helped putting out the fire together with the villagers and took security tasks around the village.
At present, a total of 37 townships in Sagaing, Magwe, Chin, Kayah and other four states/regions were imposed #Martial_Law on February 2.
