Terrorists attack police station; civilian fatality occurs

#Terrorists attacked the police Station in #Payathonzu township in Kayin State; crossfire occurred which left civilian casualties.

The incident occurred on February 25 at an estimated 6 pm.

“They came and attacked in this morning at about 6 am. Came into the township with three cars. Not much numbers. If so, the other side fired back. The army also reinforced to the police station. The artilleries were launched back to terrorists. Then, the terrorists retreated. The police station was not down,” the residential witness told NP News.

As per the information, the terrorists were known as the joint group of KNU and PDF terrorists.

Two civilians, one man and one woman who were sitting in front of the police station were injured in the clash by blast, according to the resident.

As per reports, three from the terrorist side died in the fire exchange. Damages occurred at a sewing factory near the police station during the clash. The fire exchange took nearly two hours.
